The English Department recognizes the importance of instilling an appreciation for and knowledge of literary heritage in their students and of helping them further develop effective communication skills. In their attempts to foster these appreciations and skills, the faculty is aware of the diversified educational and cultural backgrounds of the students as well as the increasing importance of global education and have adopted a sequential English program that integrates language, literature and writing.
