Mathematics has inherent beauty and power. In today's computerized informational society of rapidly changing technology, an understanding of mathematics is essential. To become a literate contributing citizen of the 21st century means to be able to reason logically, render conjectures, recognize patterns and explore various approaches and solutions to real world problems.
The Mathematics Department strives to impart these necessary mathematical skills. As members of the FSHA Catholic community, the faculty encourages a caring Christian teaching environment to enable each individual to reach attainable mathematical goals utilizing their God-given mathematical abilities to their fullest.
