All applicants are required to visit the campus for an interview. They are also strongly encouraged to spend as much time at FSHA as possible. The Admissions Office coordinates several opportunities for prospective students to get to know the campus better, such as Get-Acquainted Night and Open House as well as various Eighth Grade Visiting Days and Resident Sleepovers.
Please contact the Admissions Office to arrange a separate campus tour if you are unable to attend any of the scheduled visits. See the Admissions Calendar for more details. Appointments are required.
Get Acquainted Night is an informal evening in November where different members of the administration give informational presentations to seventh and eighth grade students and their families.
Open House occurs on a Sunday afternoon in January. Prospective students and their families can meet FSHA's teachers, tour the campus with current students and enjoy performances and art work from the Fine Arts Department, providing a deeper look into life at FSHA.
Eighth Grade Visiting Days are scheduled from October through December and typically occur on a school day from 8:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interested eighth graders tour the campus, visit classes and meet FSHA students. Parents are welcome to attend, but will have a separate schedule from their daughters. Eighth graders do not need to apply in order to attend a visiting day. Check the Admissions Calendar for dates and then contact the Admissions Office to make a reservation.
Resident applicants are invited to stay the night in the resident hall in order to experience a typical day in the life of a FSHA boarding student. Please contact the Admissions Office to arrange a sleepover appointment.
