 | At Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, we realize that the application process can sometimes be overwhelming. The admissions office is here to guide you through the process and is happy to help with any questions or concerns you may have along the way. We realize that the forms, deadlines, interviews and tours seem endless, but our aim is to get to know your family as you learn more about who we are. As you complete the application, enjoy the process of telling us about your family and daughter. We are excited that you have chosen to apply to FSHA, and we look forward to discovering who you are and helping you to navigate a successful journey over the coming months.
Application For Admission We encourage you to apply online using our online application. It's fast and easy, and it saves you a trip to the post office and the worry of wondering if it will arrive at FSHA on time.
If you choose to fill out a paper application, download it from the link in our sidebar. Please complete and sign the Application for Admission, the Family Information form, Student Statement and Parent Statement, and return them with your nonrefundable application fee and a student photograph.
The application fee is $130 for day students and $255 for boarding students. International boarding students that require an I-20 must also submit a parent bank statement and a copy of the student's passport. The application deadline for day students is January 9, 2012. The application deadline for boarding students is rolling; however, there are limited spaces in the boarding program, so please apply early.
Entrance Exam Registration Form If you are going to take your HSPT exam at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, please return the Entrance Exam Registration Form by the application deadline. Please see the form for more details. International students whose first language is NOT English should take the TOEFL test or the IELTS academic test as their entrance exam. Students should register for the test in their own country as soon as possible. The FSHA school code for the TOEFL test is 8582. Boarding students who are unable to travel to take the HSPT exam and whose first language is English should provide SSAT exam results.
Please make sure copies of your test scores are sent to the Admissions Office at FSHA. Delays in taking exams can delay the application process.
Transcript Authorization Request Please complete the Transcript Authorization Request and give it to your daughter’s present school. Transcripts for the seventh and eighth grades and the most recent standardized test scores should be mailed to the admissions office at FSHA by February 1, 2012. International students need to have their seventh and eighth grade transcripts translated into English.
Academic and Personal References Please give the math, English and Principal/Head of School references to the appropriate individuals at your daughter’s present school. These references should be mailed to the admissions office at FSHA by February 1, 2012. In addition, any personal references that can provide the school with a perspective of your daughter’s cocurricular interests and skills are welcome.
Interviews Once the admissions office staff has received your completed application and fee, they will contact you to schedule an interview with your family. Interviews are required as part of the application process. Completed applications should be submitted to FSHA as soon as possible to help us schedule your interview early. If interviews have not been completed prior to your HSPT entrance exam, they will be conducted on the day of the exam. International students should consult with the admissions office regarding their international travel and the timing of their interviews.
