eLibrary is a comprehensive library database containing extensive reference, periodical, and multimedia resources for all subject areas. The newspaper collection in this database is considerable.  Its wonderful collection of reference materials makes it an excellent starting point for student research. Includes access to History Study Center and ProQuest Learning: Literature databases. Teachers may use Book Carts to save and publish database resources.

History Study Center is part of eLibrary Curriculum Edition and may be entered through the eLibrary website.  It contains a good collection of primary and secondary sources and includes a large selection of multimedia sources.  Study Units within the History Study Center contain selected material on over 500 topics.

proquest

ProQuest Learning: Literature is also part of the eLibrary Curriculum Edition.  This database contains over 180,000 works of literature and includes author biographies, contemporary criticism, reviews and multimedia resources. Study Pages are available for literary genres, periods, and movements.  An entire section is dedicated to Shakespeare.  Proquest Learning: Literature also contains Poets on Screen, a collection of modern poets reading their favorite works.

Literature Resource Center

The Literature Resource Center is the most comprehensive literature databases available to schools.  The database includes biographies, bibliographies, and critical essays on authors and their work. It contains information from magazines and journals, as well as other sources such as the Encyclopedia of Literature, Contemporary Authors Online, Dictionary of Literary Biography Online, Scribners Writers Series, and Twayne's English Authors.

Advanced Placement Source contains the full-text academic journals and photos that students in AP courses need. All AP subject areas are covered. This database contains more than 6,100 full text journals and over 200,000 photos, maps and flags.  We recommend using the Advanced Placement Source database once your research needs are clearly defined.
