An unrestricted endowment fund established in 1987 provides annual support to the school for general operations. The principal of the fund is invested according to the terms of the FSHA Endowment Policy, with the interest being used annually according to the terms of the Spending Policy.
Interest from FSHA's several endowed scholarship funds provides significant annual support for FSHA's financial aid program. Increasing costs of education along with increasing tuition make it critical that FSHA be able to meet the financial aid needs of the families who can make best use of an FSHA education. In the past several years the Development Office has boosted efforts to build scholarship endowment to meet anticipated needs. FSHA firmly believes that the aid awarded to qualified students is an irrevocable gift of faith and education. The Building Endowment Fund was initiated with a major gift in 1997 in order to ensure that the interest from this fund could provide FSHA with an ongoing, non-tuition source of revenue to help with maintenance and repairs to both the historic and new buildings at FSHA. Like all endowment funds, this fund, is invested according to the Endowment Policy approved by the Board of Directors. Contributions are most welcome.
