Heartfelt Night at VAPA Reception to Honor Former Teacher

On October 16, the Friends of the Arts hosted the annual Visual and Performing Arts Reception, during which the Standing Ovation Award was presented to James Thomas Bailey, beloved former teacher and ComedySportz founder at FSHA.
In the packed lounge, alumnae, parents, faculty and staff gathered to honor Mr. Bailey’s legacy at FSHA and the vibrant visual and performing arts programs at the school. Although Mr. Bailey left FSHA as a teacher in 2000, his continued impact on the visual and performing arts programs was evident in the heartfelt speeches given by award presenters. The event also showcased student painters, sculptors, musicians, singers, actors and comedians.
