Residential Life: Fall 2022 Update
We are already two months into the school year, and life in the residence halls is bursting with fun, energy, and purpose. Our international family of sisters is welcoming and inclusive, and our weekends and school days are busy with classes, sports, music, dinners, parties, and relaxation. Thus far, we have already experienced a Successful fall Orientation Program and Team building week with Strong student leadership in the dorms.
We have enjoyed a series of successful cultural dinners to celebrate mid-Autumn Festival, Hispanic Heritage Month, Nigerian Independence Day, Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner, and fun birthday parties where students receive a birthday gift from the residential life dorm parents.
We have a varied and extensive weekend program to places such as museums, the ocean, shopping, eating, hiking, movies, and more. On campus activities include games, puzzles, baking and cooking classes, art projects, trivia contests, life skills, service, and simply hanging out over a movie.
Our Intentional programs have included units on goal setting and study skills, time management and study tips, emergency preparedness, sustainability, and conflict resolution/compromise.
Our annual residential life retreat is a student favorite and long-lasting tradition, and the students enjoyed a wide range of activities from team building hall competitions to a wonderful candlelight welcome ceremony.
Life in the residential program is a wonderful way to make friends, make instant family, gain independence, and experience life on the Hill and beyond!
