A Message from the President of the FSHA Alumnae Association
Hello Tologs! My name is Annette Ricchiazzi Blain, and I graduated from FSHA in 1990. I have been involved with the Academy and have served on various committees as well as the alumnae board for several years now. I can honestly say that the school's sense of growth and energy has never felt more palatable than it does right now.

My first and most daunting challenge is to fill the shoes of our president emeritus, Paula Capriccio Orlandini '71. When we joke about Paula knowing "where all the bones are buried at Flintridge," what we are really saying is that her dedication and steadfast commitment to FSHA has spanned generations, administrations, initiatives and personal change. Having the opportunity to work with her over the past few years has been a pleasure, and I am inspired by her intense love for our school. Paula almost single-handedly revived the Alumnae Association, and we owe her endless thanks for helping us to find our connection to FSHA again. Thank you to Paula for everything!

As I look around and learn more about FSHA as it is today, I see enormous growth, positive change and intense pride emanating from students, faculty, staff, parents and friends. The signs that the school is on the path of continued greatness are everywhere. And nowhere is this more evident than in the renewed energy and interest our alumnae are showing in the Academy and our Alumnae Association.

In the three years since Paula rejuvenated the Alumnae Association, we have connected and reconnecte, with hundreds of alumnae, all over the country and the world. In that time, I personally have spoken to many women and have been impressed not only by the spirited, blessed and successful lives our alumnae are living, but also by their desire to stay in contact with the school and their fellow alumnae.

The Association's desire and singular mission is the same. And in looking toward the future, our goals are clear. We continue to invite alumnae to actively participate in our events, communications, programs and initiatives. We invite you to come to our meetings and make your voice heard. Without the ideas, challenges, contributions and involvement of our alumnae, an important aspect of what makes our community great would be missing.

FSHA is a special place, and we all have a special place in our hearts for it. What we do as alumnae in our current relationship with the Academy is so important. What we give back in time, treasure, talent or prayer is so little compared to what we receive by our continued connection to the school and to each other. I invite you all to  come back to campus, read our communications, attend our many exciting events and become an active participant in this Alumnae Association. This place is still giving, and in service back to it, I am certain that I personally receive much more than I could ever give. I hope you feel this way too.

Please email me if would like to be involved on the alumnae board, or if you have ideas or time to dedicate to any of our programs and events.

I wholeheartedly look forward to serving you and our school in the coming months.

Truly,

Annette Ricchiazzi Blain
