Dormitory life at FSHA is full of opportunities for the boarding students to develop lasting friendships, strengthen their academics and learn about other cultures. Resident students live in the Administration Building, which was designed and built in the 1920s as a luxury hotel. The Resident Director, Supervisors and House Dog, Dixie, live with the students in the Resident Hall on a rotating schedule; the Dominican Sisters reside in the same building in their private convent and interact with the students daily. The Resident Hall is in a secured building, with 24-hour supervision.
The Resident Hall is made up of 23 rooms, with two to three girls sharing each room. In order to foster interaction among students from different cultures, the Resident Staff makes a consistent effort to assign students from different countries as roommates. Every room is equipped with:
