Residential Life: Spring Update 2022

Our residents have enjoyed a busy spring filled with studies, friends, fun experiences, experiential learning, and intentional programming. The girls have been able to learn and practice outdoor skills in Joshua Tree National Park, and camp in Malibu State Park. Our res life students learned to cook outdoors, hike safely, and practice useful skills when in the outdoors.
Our vibrant weekend program this spring included a wide variety of activities for all. From Prom to movie trips to amusement parks to beach parties to whale watching and more, our residents are able to explore and experience the many unique opportunities of the Los Angeles area; Malibu, Little Tokyo and Beverly Hills are fan favorites! For those students who wish to remain closer to home, we enjoyed sleepovers, snack runs, thrift shopping, hot pot, service projects, cooking classes, Escape rooms, art experiences, and game/movie nights. Wednesdays are popular days due to our Wacky Wednesday evening dorm snacks!

Our intentional programs are just that; intentional teachings on a relevant topic. The students enjoyed sessions on healthy relationships and friendships, teambuilding, finding your voice and cultivating your passions, a seminar on college life, and more. We also enjoyed fun and levity at our monthly cultural and birthday dinners! It has been a fantastic year in the boarding program, and we can’t wait to meet our new students in August!
