ACCOMPLISHMENTS FROM 2010 – 2015 STRATEGIC PLAN

Our 21st century curriculum is more inquiry-based, student-centered and engaging. Over the last five years we have introduced interdisciplinary, critical thinking skills to the curriculum, successfully accomplishing the following:
  • We implemented a one-to-one laptop model which has evolved into a seamlessly integrated technology program.
  • We instituted a four-year research curriculum that includes the Junior and Senior Research Projects.
  • We launched the beginnings of a STEM program.
These are hallmarks of academic excellence and we are proud of our program and the continued enhancements that lie ahead.

The growth in the boarding program is noteworthy.
We completed an assessment and strategic plan for the boarding program resulting in the following recent changes:
  • Four residential life staff now live full time on campus, providing a stronger program to our boarding students. These staff members live in apartments on campus that were updated and modernized, enabling us to attract the best personnel to serve in this program.
  • A new residential life curriculum is under development, as well as further integration of day and boarding students in programs and activities outside of the school day.
Our financial sustainability is better than ever.
  • We researched and analyzed best practices at peer schools and modified our compensation and benefits program to eliminate legacy practices, create competitive pay scales, support a Distinguished Employee Award program and expand leadership opportunities.
  • We implemented our Tolog Transportation program to improve neighbor relations and further campus development goals. It has been a huge success!
We successfully raised the funds needed to remodel the 50+ year old auditorium, culminating with the grand opening of the Arts Center in April 2016. The small, yet elegant building serves our talented performers well and is a beautiful reflection of modesty and excellence. On time, under budget and fully funded!
