Where artists inspire.

The Visual Arts Program at FSHA

The visual arts classes at FSHA provide our students opportunities explore and hone their artistic skills. Students can take 2-D and 3-D design, drawing, ceramics, sculpture and stagecraft, with works on exhibition in the Art Show every spring— which grows more and more impressive each year. There are multiple levels within each of these arts disciplines, so that students are able to refine and build upon a specific area of interest. We also offer AP arts courses in various two-dimensional categories for students who are passionate, dedicated and may be considering an arts related career. In all of our classes, students learn to observe, problem solve, take artistic risks and create.

Art is an expression of the soul. It is also how the mind, heart and spirit express ideas and thoughts/emotions in a manner that others can see and comprehend when simple words won't work. Art makes one become more introspective and creative, which will translate into the rest of their lives. —Allison Hasbrouck, visual arts teacher
