The Flintridge Sacred Heart Student Film Festival (Showcase) is open to students currently enrolled in middle or high schools in Southern California. Students must write, direct, shoot, and edit their own work, alone or in collaboration with other middle or high school aged students; student filmmakers may receive guidance and help from parents, guardians, teachers, and professionals. Collaboration with other age appropriate students is permissible; however, at least half of the students working on film must be currently enrolled in a Southern California middle or high school. The primary work, however, must be performed by the students. Students may use actors of any age to play different roles.
There are no restrictions on the art form of your film. Films may be live action, animation, claymation, still photography or any combination. It is expected that all appropriate CDC guidelines will be followed while working on your film. All films must include end-credits that acknowledge writers, director, performers, and any member of the production crew.
