Volleyball Team Raises Money for Breast Cancer Awareness

On October 28th, FSHA's volleyball team participated in Dig Pink, a Breast Canter Awareness Rally, with Notre Dame Sherman Oaks.  Together, the teams raised over $8,000 by selling Dig Pink bracelets and t-shirts as well as asking for donations at the game.

Before the girls played a competitive round of volleyball, forgoing the traditional uniforms in favor of differing shades of pink, but members of both teams took a moment to share the names of people important to them who had battled breast cancer.  Not only did the rally raise money for breast cancer research, but also raised awareness about the illness among the hundreds of students, parents and faculty who came out to support their teams and a good cause.
