Katie Thomson '11 is Rose Princess

Kathryn "Katie" Morris Thomson, a member of the Class of 2011 from Pasadena, was named to the 2011 Rose Court on Monday, October 11.
During the morning ceremony at the Tournament House, Katie and six others from the local area were selected as Rose Princesses from a pool of 32 who applied for the honor in September.

At FSHA, Katie is a member of the varsity tennis team and the advertising manager for the student newspaper Veritas Shield. She also has a long history of community service -- including the creation of the Crossroads Mentoring Program -- as outlined by the Shield here.

The Tolog community showed up to support Katie and the three FSHA Rose Court finalists en masse, as shown in this KTLA video and mentioned in this article by the Pasadena News-Press.

The 2011 Rose Queen will be announced at the Tournament House in Pasadena on October 19.
