Science Club Ventures Out Into Nature

Science & Environment Club moderator Nancy Power and nine club members went on a fun weekend trip to Lake Arrowhead over the weekend of February 17-19.
There was enough snow to sled and even build snowmen. They stayed in a cozy home where they were able to cook meals for themselves. Club members attending were seniors Kelsey Hekman, Natalie Janji and Tracy Zhang; junior Margaret Lee; sophomores Stephanie Cheng, Stephanie Kim and Charisse Yeh, and freshmen Siera Kozaker and Jnjl Snider.

“The trip was really fun and it was nice spending time with the other girls that went,” said Zhang. The girls and Mrs. Power played games, sledded down the hill by the cabin they stayed in, watched videos and dined at an old-fashioned burger and malt shop.
“I hope we do this again next year. I would definitely go,” said sophomore Stephanie Kim. —Susie Mendoza
