Stanford Honors FSHA Alum & Teacher

When Nicole DeMont '09 had the opportunity to choose one teacher to attend her Stanford awards ceremony on Saturday, April 26, she picked Mr. Mario Pariante.
DeMont is graduating this spring from the College of Humanities and Sciences as one of the top 25 members of the Class of 2014, which earned her the J. Wallace Sterling Award. After earning her B.A. in Political Science and her M.A. in Communications, DeMont will be working this fall in Washington, D.C. with the Democratic National Committee.

As part of her honors, DeMont was asked to invite a teacher from her past to the ceremony, one who had the most impact on her education and career choice. She chose Mr. Pariante. Stanford then paid for his travel and hotel expenses so he could attend the J. Wallace Sterling Award as her guest.
