FSHA Student Art on Display at Downtown Exhibit

This year, six students from FSHA are participating in The 2015 Robert Graham Memorial Student Art Exhibit at the Cathedral of Our Lady of The Angels in Downtown Los Angeles (555 W Temple St, Los Angeles, CA 90012). The exhibit runs March 8 through the end of April, with the opening reception Mass on Sunday, March 8 at 10 a.m.

All participants were tasked with creating a piece based on the theme of spirituality/spiritualism. Students also had to write a short artist statement about their subject matter and the theme.
Ceramic 2 students created a tile piece measuring 16 x 16 inches. Students dealt with a number of technical challenges because of the scale of the project combined with the nature of the clay. Their hard work paid off with some exceptional work.

The FSHA students who have their work in this exhibit are:

Camille Trevor | Art 2
Lara Sarkisian | Art 3
Jessica Ng  | AP Studio Art- Drawing
Mia Roginson | Ceramics 2
Christina Campbell | Ceramics 2
Kaitlin Powers | Ceramics 2

The exhibit also includes work by students from some or all of the following schools: Louisville, Mayfield, Immaculate Heart, St. Francis, Crespi, Loyola, Providence, Marymount, and Cantwell.
