Google Docs warning: There's a phishing scam going around

Good morning Tologs!

As some of you may be aware, a large phishing scam was sent out to many Gmail accounts last night under the guise of one of your contacts sharing a Google Doc with you. Google reacted swiftly and disabled the harmful app’s ability to function, but in the event you clicked on one of those emails here are the steps you should take to remove the app from your account.
  • Navigate to myaccount.google.com and sign in with your FSHA credentials in the top right
  • Navigate to Sign-In and Security on the left side of the page and click on Connected Apps and Sites
  • Click Manage Apps on the right side of the page
  • Remove the Google Docs app from your account. The legitimate Google Docs site is not an app so there is no chance of accidentally removing your access to that.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to come to the library and ask Mr. Piecka for assistance.

Stay safe!
