CAMPUS MODERNIZATION UPDATE: Planning Commission Hearing

Dear Parents:
 
As many of you know, the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA) Specific Plan – our campus modernization project – was released in June. We wanted to inform you that the City of La Cañada Flintridge Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the Draft EIR on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 6:00 pm. This marks a critical milestone in the City’s approval process, and we could not have done it without your support.
 
At the hearing, the Planning Commissioners will consider whether or not to approve the Draft EIR and allow the project to move forward in the approval process. It is essential that we demonstrate the strong support this community has for the campus modernization project before they vote. Therefore, we ask that, if you are able and willing to send an email to the Planning Commission in advance of the meeting, you please do so, and write to express your support of FSHA and to encourage the Planning Commissioners to approve the Draft EIR and move the project forward.
 
Click here for a sample letter that you are free to use in your email to the Planning Commission; of course, we urge you to tweak it to your liking and to incorporate any personal details that you feel help express your support.
 
Please send this email to planningcommission@lcf.ca.gov, and be sure to CC skoleda@lcf.ca.gov. Please send the email by 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12 so that the Commissioners see it before the meeting. We recommend writing “FSHA Draft EIR” in the subject line of the email.
