Radio Host Adai Lamar Speaks at BSU Assembly

FSHA's Black Student Union invited Adai Lamar to lead last week's BSU assembly in honor of Black History Month. Many might recognize Ms. Lamar as the local voice on the Steve Harvey Morning Show on 102.3 KJLH. In 2006, Adai became the first African American woman to lead a morning show in Los Angeles. During her engaging talk at FSHA, she discussed her journey from a small town in Texas to a radio pioneer in Los Angeles, encouraged our students to all embrace all parts of themselves, and answered many questions about her life. The assembly ended with a standing ovation for Adai for her candid engagement and inspirational message.
