With Veritas, the Latin word for truth, at the center of a Flintridge Sacred Heart education, what value has that brought to your life?
The idea of truth and being true to oneself and to the people around you is a value that I learned from FSHA and still value today.
What is your favorite spot on campus and why?
The Junior and Senior Patios because of the fun memories, shenanigans and activities that happened throughout the day and on special occasions that served as bonding moments.
What is your current career?
I am a graduating senior at Occidental College
What's your proudest accomplishment so far?
My proudest accomplishment has been continuing my passion for my Armenian identity throughout college as Co-President of the Armenian Students Association, after I started the Armenian club at Flintridge Sacred Heart in 2014. Sharing and educating about my identity and history especially during this time of crisis in Armenia has been healing as we are a small but close-knit community on campus at Oxy. In addition, serving as the lead research assistant for a doctorate student at UCSB on her dissertation qualitatively analyzing the Armenian American trans-generational trauma among youth via interviews, has been a rewarding but emotional process that has brought me closer to my community during this time and I am very proud to be a part of the research and the positive impact it can have on our community.
What three word describe you?
Trustworthy, caring, positive
What do you love about Flintridge Sacred Heart?
I love the sisterhood that bonds us to the Hill because of the special and unique experience we received as Tologs.
What advice do you have for someone applying to Flintridge Sacred Heart?
I think the best advice is to show your passion on your application. Tell a story about you and why Flintridge Sacred Heart would be a good fit. Think about this: what is something about you or a passion you have that Flintridge Sacred Heart could help you foster into personal successes and growth?
What do you do for fun?
I love to spend time with family and friends by playing cool board games, playing with our two dogs, traveling and trying new restaurants/food
Anything else you want to share about yourself?
The Senior Research Project was such a great learning opportunity that was a major advantage to have completed before college.
